PRESS RELEASE: 68th FEFAC PUBLIC ANNUAL MEETING

“EU Strategic Agenda 2024-2029: A Resilient and Competitive EU Livestock Sector”
Brussels, 22 February 2024
FEFAC, the European Feed Manufacturers’ Federation, is pleased to announce its 68th Annual Public Meeting, to be held in Brussels (ACE Events) on 31 May 2024. The main theme of this year’s Public Annual Meeting is “How to boost EU feed autonomy and Strengthen Circularity of the EU livestock sector?” in the context of the new European Commission Strategic Agenda 2024 – 2029.
We are delighted and honoured to welcome Janusz Wojciechowski, EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Affairs, who kindly agreed to provide the opening speech at our event (online live), as well as Christiane Lambert, COPA President, who will offer a keynote presentation (in French, interpretation provided).
During the event, there will be two VIP expert panel sessions moderated by Rose O’ Donovan, Chief Editor of AGRAFACTS, and Anton van den Brink, FEFAC Deputy Secretary General.
The expert panels will tackle the following key topics:
- EU Open Strategic Autonomy objective for the EU Agri-food chain: the new EU Protein Plan
- Key market and regulatory drivers to increase the Circularity of the EU feed and livestock chain and reduce carbon emissions on feed ingredients
High-profile speakers and panellists from the European Commission and value chain partners will prompt a rich debate and discussions on the future direction of travel for the EU livestock and feed industry on the way to facilitate the green transition of the EU feed and livestock sector, sustainably and profitably.
