DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS & EVENTS COORDINATION OFFICER - VACANCY

FEFAC, the European Feed Manufacturers Association, is enhancing its communication efforts and is looking for a Digital Communication & Events Coordination Officer. The position is open to a part-time, 30-hour-per-week contract basis, with the prospect of progressing towards a full-time, 38-hour-per-week contract basis, subject to further discussion.

Role Overview

As the Digital Communication & Events Coordination Officer, you will collaborate closely with the FEFAC team to spearhead external communication activities and assist with the organisation of events, with the annual conference as the key pillar.

The position of Digital Communication & Events Coordination Officer has three key areas of responsibility.

External & internal communication: Assist with the development of public communication messages, publications and campaigns in support of FEFAC objectives, manage FEFAC social media accounts, manage FEFAC public and internal websites, perform quality control checks of the articles in the internal newsletter FEFACTS.

Events coordination: Support with the organisation of FEFAC events (in particular the annual conference) and workshops, engaging closely with speakers, venues and service providers, and assist with logistical matters.

Sponsorship development: Coordinate sponsors’ visibility, participation and deliverables before, during and after events, and maintain professional relationships with key contacts.

Key skills FEFAC expects you to have

  • Adequate technical and digital skills in terms of website management (WordPress), graphic design (Canva or comparable graphic design tools are required), presentation development (Microsoft PowerPoint) and AI
  • Strong proficiency in English for editorial responsibilities, with knowledge of other community languages as additional key assets
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks, with an innate personal responsibility towards ensuring assignments are delivered with a positive outcome

The FEFAC office comprises a compact team of 8 professionals. Therefore, strong teamwork skills are essential, while there will be the expectation that you assist with general office management tasks when needed, such as (internal) meeting preparations. An interest in agriculture and food chain topics and/or previous experience working with the EU Trade association environment are strongly taken into account.

FEFAC provides an opportunity to gain comprehensive experience across communications, events and stakeholder relations within a European trade association. The European Compound Feed & Premix Manufacturing sector is at the heart of livestock production, with common ground on topics related to food production, trade, sustainability and science. The position enables establishing contacts in a relevant network, including other EU associations in the agricultural domain as well as EU institutions.
